Seychelles Department of Information Communications Technology has introduced a mandatory Type Approval scheme for radio equipment to be placed or used in the market on March 8th, 2021. It should be noted that:
• Modular approval to import host device is permitted
• Family approval is allowed, and family models can be listed on 1 certificate with
no limit for now
• Sample is not required as part of the application
• There is no local labeling; however, it is advisable to label equipment
with CE or FCC
• Certificate validity is lifetime provided that there is no modifications on
equipment after approval
