On August 29, 2024, The TRC has officially published the new type approval instructions, the new instructions will come into force as of the date 15 September 2024.
The major changes are:
1 - The certificate validity has been reduced from 3 years to 1 year.
2 - The label can be on the outer package or the product itself or within the product’s
operating system (OS), or in the user manual. Previously, the label had to be fixed
on both the outer package and the device itself.
3 - The Manufacturer's address and product type information are no longer
required for the label.
